David C. Rawls, 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 1, 2018 in his home in Fort Worth.Celebration of Life will be Friday, June 8th at 1:00 p.m. at Unity Church Fort Worth, 5051 Trail Lake Drive.
David grew up in North Carolina then joined the army after high school, serving in the Honor Guard.He met his wife Mickey on base while serving, a story David loved to tell.With his corporate climb in a Tandy company, Dave and family moved to 5 different states landing in Fort Worth because the company headquartered in downtown.He retired as an executive Vice President.He later went on to form a company with his wife, Hold Everything, Inc., and at one point, the entire family and extended family were working for them.
David was full of life, hugs, and smiles.He loved his family and friends.He enjoyed family parties and loved traveling with his family which earned him the title of "Tour Guide Dave".
David is preceded in death by his parents, Fleetwood (Red) and Gladys Rawls, and daughter, Renee Rawls.
SURVIVORS:Loving wife of 56 years, Marianne "Mickey" Rawls; Daughter, Robin Thompson, and husband, Brad; son, David "D.J." Rawls Jr, and wife, Lisa; son, Mike Burke, and wife, Lee; beloved grandchildren, Rowan Kratz, Brianna Rawls, Catherine Rawls, Grace Kratz, Cash Thompson, Sarah Burke, Shana Burke Engel, and Andrea Burke Sweet; sister, Mary Alice Jones, and husband, Jaye;step-sister, Lee Conwell; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
David, Dave, Dad, Dabar will be greatly missed but never forgotten!
