Daniel Dier "Dan" Dobbs, age 61, passed away at his home on July 5, 2021. Dan was born to O.D. and Martha Dobbs on April 5, 1960 in Fort Worth, Texas where he remained a life-long resident until his death. He was a member of Tarrant Road Baptist Church and charter member of Lake Arlington Baptist Church (Lake Church) in Arlington, TX.

Dan was a 1978 graduate of Eastern Hills High School and attended Tarrant County Junior College where he took several graphic arts classes. Dan was a painting contractor, just like his dad, who he started working for and learning from at a very early age. Dan was a true artist. His 1st grade teacher was one of the first to encourage him in his artistic abilities. Dan had a unique talent for art and could sketch anything he could imagine in his mind. He also loved music and took guitar lessons for several years when he was a young boy and continued to play throughout his life. He would work hard to save up to buy a special guitar and he loved to pick and sing at gatherings with family and friends.

Dan had a passion for all the arts. In his early twenties he became interested in modeling and drama. He took classes and did some modeling for local stores and businesses as well as appearing in several local community theater productions. Like his dad, Dan loved playing golf and he especially enjoyed his weekly Friday afternoon rounds with his brothers at Meadowbrook Golf Course, where he learned to play as a boy. Dan enjoyed life and could always manage to get his sister and younger brothers in trouble.He was also a very proud uncle and loved clowning around with his nieces and nephews, and he loved his friends and family and theyloved him. Dan will be missed by all. Dan was preceded in death by his father, O.D. Dobbs.

He is survived by his mother, Martha Dobbs, a sister, Cindy Yeary (Scott) of Weatherford, TX; and brothers, David Dobbs of Euless; Doy Dobbs (Dee) of Fort Worth, TX; Dibrell Dobbs (DeeDee) of Arlington, TX; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and too many cousins to count. Please join us as we celebrate and remember Dan on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the worship center at Lake Church, 2912 Little Road, Arlington, TX 76016. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Lake Church in memory of Dan Dobbs.
