Born on November 13, 1962, in Newport News, Virginia, Cindy lived a life defined by selflessness, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

A loving wife to John Swearingin, Sr., Cindy was the heart and soul of her family. She was a devoted mother to her five children: John Swearingin, Trevor Swearingin, Jared Martin, Candace Martin, and Nicole Martin, and her love for them was boundless. Cindy's greatest joy came from being a mother, always putting her family first above all else.

Cindy spent many years working as a waitress, where her kindness, warmth, and genuine care made her a favorite among customers and coworkers alike. She had a special gift for making people feel welcome and valued, and her radiant spirit touched countless lives.
