Charles John Middleton passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 98.

Charles was born on August 24, 1926, in Vassar, Kansas, to the late John and Eldora Middleton. He was one of five children.

He enlisted in the United States Navy and was stationed in the Philippines during the closing days of World War II.

Charles earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Kansas and later an MBA from Texas Christian University in 1965. He dedicated 35 years of his professional life to the aerospace industry, working for General Dynamics (later Lockheed Martin).

In 1952, Charles married Margaret Heatwole. Together, they shared 51 years of marriage, raising two sons—Gregg and Eric—and building a home grounded in faith, family, and service. Margaret passed away in early 2004.

Later that year, Charles found joy again when he reunited with longtime family friend, Carol Heit. The two were married on November 27, 2004, and shared new adventures together in their later years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Middleton; his sons, Gregg (Heather) and Eric (Carol); his sister, Phyllis Wilson; grandchildren Chris (Macy), Chase (Aisha), Alyssa, Michael, and Lindsay; three great-grandchildren, as well as Carol's three
children.

A service to celebrate Charles's life will be held at Highland Springs in Dallas, Texas, on Friday, April 11th, at 2:00 p.m. A private interment will follow at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Texas.
