Chief (retired) Chandler F. Bentley Jr.85, died peacefully in his Arlington, Texas home on March 18 ^th, 2022, with his wife (Debbie) at his side.  Chandler was a veteran of the United State Air Force stationed in San Antonio, Texas assigned to the military police section.

"CF" as he was known was born on March 1 ^st , 1937, in Dallas Texas, to Chandler and Blanche Bentley. In 1955, he joined the armed forces and was assigned to the U.S. Air Force base Pinecastle, AFB Fla/ McCoy AFB.  After graduating from specialized law enforcement training in 1955, he was assigned to Lackland JBSA until deployed overseas.

In 1959, he joined the Dallas Police Department (Badge 1485) where he was assigned after graduation to the Northwest substation. CF later accepted a new position as one of the first K9 patrol units assigned to the Southwest substation with his K9 partner (Ripple).

In 1970 he accepted a new police chief position with the newly established Bella Vista AR, police department where he remained until retirement.

CF was a brave and loyal Airman and police officer, as well as a patient and loving father. He married Debbie Worley of Arlington Tx, on December 31 ^st, 2002. Debbie a long-time American Airlines employee, and CF both loved to travel. He is survived by his daughter(s) and son(s), Melanie O'Mara and her husband Joshua of Maumelle AR, Lisa Shannon Bentley of Bella Vista AR, Missy Wilson Bentley, and her husband Tim of Huntsville AR. Sons Christopher Bentley and wife Tammy of Midlothian, Texas, Stephen Bentley of Denton, Texas Jason Worley of Denton Tx. CF was also a grandfather and great grandfather to many great children.
