Carol Ann Turrentine died on October 25, 2021 to enter God's eternal kingdom. Born on April 29, 1948, she was the only child of James and Mozelle Turrentine. Ann spent the first 16 years of her life in her hometown of Odessa, Texas. Her father died when she was eight years old, followed by her mother eight years later.
Ann then moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, to live with her aunt and uncle, Kayola and George Handley. While there, she completed high school at Incarnate Word Academy and later attended Del Mar College. Ann eventually moved to Dallas, Texas, where she attended church at Unity on Greenville. She was employed for many years at Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages, retiring in 2006.
A naturally creative person, Ann painted, wrote poetry, and kept a journal. She loved and enjoyed so many things in life--laughing at funny jokes and antics, dressing in bright, cheerful, colorful clothing and jewelry, and eating at restaurants. She was a cat lover, having as many as four at one point. She so looked forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas, her two favorite holidays.
While Ann never married or had children, she is survived by numerous cousins and their families, as well as countless friends who will fondly remember her, miss her, and mourn her passing. She had a blessed life and those individuals who knew and loved her were blessed as well.
