Bruce Toppin, Jr., 78, graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in 1977 with a degree in Biology, knowledge he happily applied to a lifetime of hunting, fishing, and exploring the local wildlife. A skilled general contractor with an artistic talent, Bruce blended creativity with craftsmanship in everything he built.

Named Ducks Unlimited Man of the Year 1989, he especially loved duck hunting at Eagle Mountain Lake. Known for his sharp wit and clever retorts at the dinner table, he was as entertaining in conversation as he was in the outdoors.

Bruce is survived by his sisters, Rose Anne Toppin Cranz and Mary Beth Toppin McDonald; daughter, Margaret Toppin Williamson; son, Bruce Toppin, III; five grandchildren, and good friend, Margaret Johnson who will miss his humor, his stories, and his adventurous spirit.
