Barbara Jean Gross, ne Canby, passed away onJuly 4 , 2019 in Arlington, Texas at age 65, in the presence of her loved ones, after a short battle with lung cancer.
'BJ' was born in Monterey, California on April 9, 1954. She grew up in Hagerstown, Maryland with her brother JR and her grandparents, Allan and Wilma McGuiness. Later, BJ lived in Clarksville, Tennessee, Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Houston, Texas.
A U.S. Army veteran, Barbara Jean also graduated from the University of Houston with a B.A. degree in Business Administration in 1989.
BJ is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Robert Gross, and two children, Elaina Cavanaugh and Shannon Walston: grandchildren, V'Anna Gabriel Dow, Lily Raine Walston: Sisters, Kerry Cottingham, Roxanna Weishuhn, and their families.
