Barbara Lynn Hayden Elrage of Azle, Texas passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital from complications of cervical cancer due to contracting sepsis after an operation.
Barbie was born April 16, 1964 in Great Falls, Montana to Virginia Ann Pounds Hayden and William Michael Hayden Sr. She graduated Abilene High School and attended Cisco Jr. College in Cisco, Texas where she was proud to be a Wrangler Belle. She was a deli manager in Azle for 20 years. She was a dedicated employee who loved her job, worked hard for her boys and her beloved dogs; Lady,Tyler, and Petey, whom she bragged about all the time. Adding on to her huge Barbie Doll house was one of her favorite past times. She loved dancing to Country and Western Music her whole life. She was a mother who loved her boys before anything else in life, there's nothing she would not do for them. She never gave up. She is survived by her sons, Aaron Marcus Lewallen, Jesse James Gongora, and Donovan Shane Gongora of Azle, Texas; sisters, Catherine Ann Gibson, Elizabeth Mae Hayden, Laura Lee Wheeler, and Virginia Valerie Danielle Snelson all of Abilene, Texas; brother, William Michael Hayden Jr. of Abilene, Texas; her boyfriend Andy Templeton and stepson Clayton Templeton of Azle, Texas; her best friend Kathy Taylor of Azle, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
