Arland Hamilton Bishop (Captain- USAF), age 84, of Arlington, Texas passed away on December 11, 2018.He was born on December 1, 1934 in Lovington, New Mexico. His parents were Hamilton "Ham" Bishop and Lily Stoneham Bishop.
Arland was a highly decorated Veteran of the Vietnam war. In later years he was an entrepreneur teaching flying lessons and also flying for Texas Parks and Wildlife. Arland was passionate about aviation and also a member of Daedalians- a fraternal organization of military aviators. After he was grounded & no longer able to fly for health reasons he lived a quiet life but did love watching sports on television as well as telling stories.
Arland is survived by his son Arland Jr. of Arlington, Texas, his brother Dru Bishop and his wife Lela of Clifton, Co. He was preceded in death by his father Ham Bishop, his mother Lily Bishop , his sister Betty Jones andhis brother John Ray Bishop.
