In Loving Memory of Allen Edwin Trammell

With heavy hearts and loving memories, we announce the passing of Allen Edwin Trammell of Fort Worth, Texas. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, United States Marine, and a man of Christian faith.

Allen was born December 4, 1942, in Fort Worth, Texas. In his youth, he was quite the athlete and participated in numerous sports, especially football. It was at a football game where he caught the eye of the beautiful young woman who would later become his wife, Mary. Allen graduated from Nathan Hale High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1961. In 1963, he married the love of his life and they were married for 63 years until his passing.

Allen proudly served his country as a United States Marine, carrying with him the values of honor, courage, and commitment throughout his life. His service was a reflection of the strength and dedication that helped define the man he was. Among other accolades bestowed to him, he was awarded the Purple Heart for his sacrifice in service during the Vietnam War.

Beyond his service to his country, Allen’s greatest legacy was the family he raised and the love he shared with those closest to him. He also had a creative spirit and a wonderful appreciation for art. He loved to draw and had a natural artistic talent. Through his drawings, he expressed a side of himself that brought beauty and creativity into the world, leaving behind memories and creations that his family can treasure.

Allen is survived by his loving wife, Mary Trammell; his son, Derick Trammell and wife, Amnet, and their children, Trinity and his wife, Kaian, and Victoria and her husband, Josh; his son, Jeffrey Trammell and wife, LaVonne, and their children, Zachary, Dakota, and Caitlin and husband, Austin; and his daughter, Susan Trammell McGowan and husband, Terry, and her children, Blake, Logan and his wife, Caroline, and Dylan; along with his beloved great-grandchildren.

Allen’s life was one of service, faith, family, and creativity. While his passing leaves an emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him, the memories he created, the lessons he shared, and the legacy he leaves behind will continue through the generations of his family.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

Funeral services will be held to honor Allen’s memory at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Village Creek Church of Christ, 2570 Northwest Green Oaks Blvd., Arlington, Texas.
