Alexander Banda Alonzo

Alexander Banda Alonzo, 73, of Irving passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 15, 2018 surrounded by his family.
He was born in Eureka, Texas on November 26, 1944 to Tito and Frances Alonzo.

Alex leaves behind his 2 daughters, Frances Alonzo and Lisa Christie (Terry); his grandchildren Danielle, Anthony, and Andrew (Miranda); brothers Phillip Alonzo & Louis Alonzo (Norma); sisters Teresa Rodriquez and Mary Marroquin (Ruben); nieces & nephews, and many other family members & friends.

Alex attended Crozier Tech High School and graduated with honors in 1965. He went on to work for Texas Instruments, General Dynamics, & eventually retired from Vought as an engineer.He loved playing golf with his friends and was an avid dart player.He enjoyed spending time with his family, going to the movies, and loved eating at his favorite local restaurants.You could always count on Alex for his sharp wit and love of a good joke.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Tito & Frances Alonzo, his brother, Salvador Alonzo, & his nephew, Phillip Alonzo Jr.

Services for Alex will be held at Santa Clara of Assisi Catholic Church on Monday, November 19, 2018.A rosary will begin a 11 am and the memorial will start at 12 noon.
